Steve Koch of Northridge, California
claims his R75/5 project was more a matter of "resurrection"
than "restoration." Be that as it may, the end
result is turning heads in California. So right about
now Steve is "California Dreamin'." Click on the picture

"I got your bolt kit and I
must say I am very pleased. I like that you use rugged bags with
good zip-lock closures [for each assembly] instead of a heat-sealed,
use-it-once bag. I also like your labeling. Because you
put labels inside each bag, I suspect most people remove the old hardware
from their bike and keep it in the individual replacement bags for
'just-in-case' storage. [There's) nothing quite like a good, clean,
sturdy bolt, is there?"

"From
what I've heard from many others, I think I'm going to be pleased with
your product. I received my kit a few days ago, and I can't wait to start putting the bike back together with all the new hardware. I
really appreciate your follow-up on the kit. Not many companies have
your level of customer service. I'm really excited about this project and look forward
to completing it in time for the 49er Rally. I will definitely pass
your site on to my friends who also still believe in preserving the
history of BMW airheads. Thanks again!"

Ron Neely of Cincinnati, Ohio keeps putting his hands into baskets full of old and forgotten
engine parts and hardware. And out of that he comes up with
completely restored motorcycles, sometimes classic ones like this
R60/2. Go figure. Click on the bike at left for a blow-by-blow description of the project, including process photos.
"I
can't describe the relief I felt when I found your site. On my last
BMW restoration project, I wire-brushed and painted every bolt flat silver
before installation. Then I touched up wrench marks. Your bolt
kits should make my job a lot easier."

Tom "The Bolt Guy" Johnson is
also a customer. This time he enlisted the help of his friend
Ron Neely to take this R60/2 from basket case to
classic ride. Of course, they used The Bolt Guy's kit, which
not only fastens down all visual assemblies but adds the extra spit
and polish this bike deserves. Click on the R60/2 at left for
details of the project. Both Tom and Ron are dedicated to original equipment and it shows in
the finished project.
"Thanks
man. I was pretty happy to find a complete bolt kit in stainless for
the R100RS. Living in the Florida Keys [you learn that]
stainless steel is your friend. I'm like a kid on Christmas morning
just waiting [to get the kit]."
